2007 Toyota Tundra Air Injection Pump Recall
I am 5100 miles outside of warranty and they want to charge me 2500 to repair.

The Air Injection Pumps and Air Switching Valves are covered by Toyotas New Vehicle Limited Warranty for 3 years or 36000 miles whichever occurs first and by the California Emission Warranty for 3 years or 50000 miles whichever occurs first. They found secondary air injection pump and system also bad. A faulty secondary air injection pump will cause problems for the air-to-fuel ratio in your internal combustion engine.
Poor acceleration could be caused by several mechanical issues but a bad secondary air injection pump is certainly one. But after 3 months of ownership on a 2013 46L 44 Tundra had the secondary AIP fail. Toyota calls it a Customer Support Program.
