2006 Toyota Tundra Ticking Noise
I have a Toyota Tundra 2006.
2006 toyota tundra ticking noise. Has anyone experienced a tick coming from the engine. 4x4 with 145k miles has developed a loud ticking sound any time its running. There is a load noise coming from the back side of the motor that sounds like a Vacuum cleaner motor electric motor.
A leaking exhaust manifold will sound like an exhaust leak or an audible ticking noise from the engine compartment and will be especially pronounced when the engine is still cold. If I turmn it off and then restart it will usually go away. Also the noise is sporadic and will only happen randomly.
Ive heard that it could be an exhaust leak. My neighbor has 3 tundras and they are all quiet. I think I can feel it though the steering wheel when turning at slower speeds.
A fairly common complaint on the 47 liter 2UZ-FE in the Tundra Sequoia Land Cruiser 4Runner GX470 and LX470 a small crack develops where the flange is welded. If you can pull up beside a wall say at a drive-thru or a car wash it will magnify the noise a little bit to hear it better. I happens when I astart the vehicle.
Totally normal but annoying Ive. Here are some common signs that a serpentine belt is bad. The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Tundra.
Mu local dealer says its normal valvetrain noise but i have experience. It clicks more rapidly when I step on the gas pedal. Our 2006 Toyota Tundra is making a noise on acceleration.
