2001 Toyota Tundra Starts Then Dies
Toyota tundra starts then stalls runs one minute and loses fuel.
2001 toyota tundra starts then dies. Holy crap what an ordeal. Acted like it was out of fuel gauge said 14 tank but i thought it stuck or something. I have a 2001 toyota echo 2 dr auto trans and when Iput the car in drive it dies it starts fine idle is good I can hit the accelerator revs fine I can even shift to nuetral and all is good but.
My 2001 Tundra starts then stops within a second or two. I was driving home from work yesterday when about 40 minutes into my ride my truck shut off and now it only starts for a few seconds and immediately stalls when I touch the accelerator. I went to advanced auto parts to change the battery on my 2002 camry.
The truck has been running great no problems at all. I can easily restart the car and apply gas and it will rev however once I let go of the gas pedal it would stall again. Then about an hour later I tried to start my truck and this series of events happened.
There are no fault codes registered in the vehicle. I sprayed starter fluid in the air intake and got the engine to turn over. It died on me last week.
When I was done and waited about 2 or 3 hours I decided to start the car and noticed it immediately stalls. Your Tundra stalls because the faulty switch turns off the fuel pump or power to the ignition. Thought maybe the battery was dead so i pushed the gas while parked to give it some juice for a few minutes still dies.
But when I quickly shift into drive it starts to stutter really bad andor just completely dies. Does this a few times then dies. My Tundra has done this a few times fires then dies within one second.
