My brother bought his tundra used and it had 60000 miles approx on it but he has driven it five more years with no problems and I even told him what the dealer had told me about the timing belt change. Considering it is already 11 years old replace it now. Owners of V6 4Runners from 1990 to 2002 will need to replace their timing belt every 60k while owners of V8 engines from 2003 to 2009 need to think about a belt replacement every 90k miles.
I bought the truck with 93K miles and I dont believe the timing belt has EVER been changed. Anyhoo back to the OP I had a guy on my team that routinely replaced the timing belt and water pump on the Tundra V8s in less than two hours. I do not know if you have the 34L DOHC V6 or the 47L DOHC V8.
